Today morning residents of Sydney, Australia reported a strange weather phenomenon – the entire city was blanketed in a deep red haze which later haded to orange and then to yellow by 7.30am. Nonetheless, it’s still pretty fascinating and yet creepy at the same time – the red haze made Sydney look like a Martian town or a city in the end of days. Oh, and you might want to check out this photo gallery of the red haze caused by a massive dust storm as speculated by experts.

I'm relatively new to the design world - only to start learning HTML in secondary school and then moving on to (X)HTML and CSS in college. Since then I have been hand-coding my designs using notepad, alongside with the amazing help from Firebug. I embrace photography as a personal persuit during my free time, and I prefer spending the rest of it doing meaningless quizzes on Facebook and destroying the world (in Rampage World Tour, that is).

Oh wow! That’s creepy. I couldn’t imagine being woken up and instead of beautiful orange sunlight peeking it’s way through the blinds — it’s red! And then opening your curtains to witness the crazy blood-red haze engulfing the city. How strange! Yet fascinating. :D
Oh, and congratulations on your nomination! I voted for you of course. :D Your website totally surpasses all of them — in every category even! lol
Indeed. It will definitely feel very mythical if you wake up one day realizing that the entire sky is red – and to make things worse, there’s a thich haze moving in. When I first saw the photos, an apocalyptic scenario immediately started replaying in my mind.
Thank you Trina! I wouldn’t say mine is the best haha! There are so many excellent bloggers out there – wishing all the best to other nominees too! While some have decried that some nominees look they don’t deserve to be nominated, I think the panel of judges chose them for a reason :)
