Thanks for the compliments, John! I'm really honoured to have this child theme featured on Hybrid showcase.

Anyway, regarding the code, I suspect that the comments have parsed and gobbled up the code you've typed in. Can you kindly paste it's entirety in a text file and attach it to the email? You can contact me via <strong>teddy[at]teddy-o-ted[dot]com</strong>.

I don't remember editing the <code>hooks_actions.php</code> file for this child theme but I will try my best to help :)

I stumbled across your site today while looking through the Hybrid Showcase, and I was so impressed by your child theme!
About the code, I have a question:
I'm new to the Hybrid Framework and just finished my first child theme but I'm not quite sure where to put this code. Should I put it in the original Hybrid hooks_actions.php, or should I make a custom functions file and place that in my child themes folder?

I look forward to your response as this is exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!

Thanks for the compliments, Jeff! I'm really honoured to have a PHP guru to drop by and leave comments :) and thank you so much for the Delicious bookmark!

I wrote the tutorial when I was in the midst of developing this theme, and when I realized that the process of learning how to use Joost's code helped a lot with my understanding of how PHP works, I've decided to post it. I have a huge backlogs of tutorials that I want to post, and will be publishing it over time after improvements.

Anyway, no worries for the botched Twitter ID. The extra comments field plugin prevents me from editing your Twitter ID (although I can edit the database entry), but I've developed a simpler solution, which is to use <code>preg_replace</code> to remove the "twitter.com", or similar, prefixes. I've learnt yet another great lesson! Thank you Jeff! When you're around, you keep making me learn new stuff (like the video one. Brilliant!)

Have a great week!

Excellent tutorial, Teddy! I am honored to be mentioned alongside the incredible Mr. Joost. Glad to have written that post! This article is perfect example of a well-written, easy-to-follow tutorial, and I am sure it will help lots of folks display their tweets on their sites. Many thanks for sharing this information with us -- I am bookmarking it at Delicious right now! :)
Regards,
Jeff

It has been ages since I've last written a Photoshop tut! I ran out of things to write - so I'm waiting for suggestions. Most of the awesome ideas were already written by other professionals, hah.

Glad to see you at Patrick's birthday party today (urm, yesterday to be exact since it's past twelve). You looked so difference when I first met you when you visited us at NTU. Really, different! I swear I didn't recognize who you were until you reminded me *bangs head against wall*

Well, have an awesome Sunday then!

Awww Aki, I feel sad that you're not writing a blog anymore. If hosting is your issue, I really have no problems hosting another blog, you know. I have a domain just for free hosting but so far I haven't opened it up - it's by invitation only. If you would want to get hosted, just tell me :) I'm more than happy to help, if you don't mind my ISP, that is.

I actually did a Javascript implementation before, but to my horror I realized that it breaks when JS is disabled. Yeah, I'm a little bit nuts when it comes to gracefully-degrading JS, but since I've made an effort to make sure that the rest of the site degrades nicely w/o javascript, I wouldn't want to make exceptions. That's what the little perfectionist inside me says so, not me!

One bad thing about this feature is that it only fetches the latest tweet and not a list of it. Maybe there's some way to modify it, but being almost illiterate at PHP, I will only stare at the screen O_o

Have a great Sunday, Aki!
