Hello there. I am Terry and I am a full-time undergraduate based in Singapore. I take photos, write a blog and design websites.

And no, I'm not a teddy bear.

More of NTU’s goodness

Here are two really big panoramas that I’ve managed to coax my laptop to stitch it for me without crashing, over the weekend. They are pretty huge and I don’t want to make the whole loading process a burden to every single visitor who drops by, so I’ve chose to tuck one of the bigger one (it weighs a wholly 1MB even with a mere 70% JPEG compression *gasp*) underneath the read more tag. In case you’re wondering, the panoramas are made using Autostitch. It’s not the best one around but it’s pretty good and does everything automatically for you :) that’s the part I love it!

I was walking around the campus with the tripod in my hand a few Saturdays ago. I’ve tried to capture light trails of the passing traffic when the idea of making a panorama out of it struck me. So I stationed myself at the bus stop right outside Hall 8 and snapped away. If you’re wondering what is that big building across the road, it’s actually the School of Art, Media and Design (which many of us joking call is SADAM). I’ve made a panorama out of that building a few months ago – check it out if you’re interested.

If the height of your browser display prevents you from viewing the entire vertical part of the panorama completely, you can always opt to view it in full screen ;)

Panorama - Waiting for the bus. At Hall 8.

And after the jump, we have another panorama! Be warned that the panorama is approximately 1MB in size, so be prepared to wait a little if you have a slow internet connection.

I guess the best part of living on campus while studying in NTU is the luxury of enjoying Mother Nature’s sweet embrace. I was aimlessly wondering around the campus a few weeks ago on a lazy Saturday morning and afternoon… and this is the panorama I’ve made. From the left, you will the the ADM (aka SADAM) building, followed by Hall of Residence 8, 9 and 10.

I guess that’s all for this update! I shall get back to that irritating Organic Chemistry chapter that I left off. Okay, see you guys!
