What really disses me off about the phone is its inability to use Wifi, and that is a major setback for a phone in this era where wireless technology is advent and most smartphones have this feature built-in already.

I don't know whether if this is a blessing in disguise, but the phone was stolen 10 months after it was bought. In a fit of anger (and shame, because it was me being too careless) I bought a cheap Nokia phone and it lasted me for another year before I settled for my current iPhone 4.

In my university and most public places in my country, free Wifi access are readily available so it is a huge disadvantage if one's phone has no Wifi connectivity.

p/s: Thanks for the compliments, and I see that you have a really lovely website!

What I have about modern phones is absence of wifi while presence of relatively good web browser. At least in cafe it is boring to wait for sites to load - and I wonder if phone designers are know about free wifi in such places?

Good text, I used that model a bit ago and find this blog by chance. Thanks for reminding me my ex-phone!

Sorry to hear about that unfortunate incident! Well I hope the keypad isn't damanged beyond repair or you! The best way to solve it is to let it dry... because water can cause short circuits in the chips.

If my phone's keypad is broken, I'll be doomed! The short messages are typed using the alpha numeric keypad and not the touchscreen (LG KF700 isn't a really, urm, pure-blooded touchphone). So yep, if the keypad spoils, I can't do any inputs except calling numbers! Interestingly you can call numbers without bringing up the keypad - a virtual keypad appears on the screen instead.

That's because you love your Blackberry's QWERTY keyboard, heh :) too bad this phone only comes with an alpha numberic keyboard and nothing else... it doesn't even have the touchscreen input for messages (well, that's what the slide open hardware keys are for anyway).

Sorry to hear about your experience with LG Shine. I guess everyone just loves the way how iPhone works - responsive, quick and elegant. A lot of touchphones are yet to reach that nirvana status of haptic technology!

Actually Samsung's designs wow me too, but too bad the brand simply isn't my cup of tea.

I'm not a fan of touchscreen phones (love my Blackberry keyboard) but this is a nice phone and the camera pictures are really good quality!

I had an LG Shine before and the response time was soo slow so that put me off LGs for a while.. although I think they have the nicest cellphone designs compared to other brands.

Thank you! Hmmm judging by your need, you might as well get an iPhone haha :) and you definitely can afford it, heh. Too bad iPhone doesn't come with a user-replaceable battery... so to me and many others, it is more like an iPod touch that allows you to make calls XD and it's just tragic that iPhone comes with a 2.0MP camera. Speaking of good cameras, you might love Samsung's new phone, Innov8. It has an 8MP camera - get blown off your feet!
