Well I hope the keypad isn't damanged beyond repair or you! The best way to solve it is to let it dry... because water can cause short circuits in the chips. If my phone's keypad is broken, I'll be doomed! The short messages are typed using the alpha numeric keypad and not the touchscreen (LG KF700 isn't a really, urm, <em>pure-blooded</em> touchphone). So yep, if the keypad spoils, I can't do any inputs except calling numbers! Interestingly you can call numbers without bringing up the keypad - a virtual keypad appears on the screen instead.
