and Teddy, there's also diy bounce card for in-body flash, =) Search a bit, you'll find one easily. =) And erm, cable release, why don't you set the camera to timer? you want it for sharper photos right? use that to save some $$ but waste a bit of time. =D

they do burn, =p but I doubt the tissue will. =p I once place a magnetic tape (those you get from your diskette?) over my point-and-shoot small small flash (lol) and it burns.. with a super loud POP! =p

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/64/189407884_97fe97a530.jpg

This shot is from the same series, before I place the magnetic way too close (basically stick together) until the photons from the flash ignite and burnt the magnetic tape, just a pop and instant burn tho, not burning till I need to put it off by stepping on it. =p

Get an external flash teddy, =D Or you can try playing around by adjusting the flash output.. =p not sure about Sony but on Nikon D40, I can change to +1 and -3, change it and you'll get a softer light actually. =)

I'm sorry if you've left a comment and it got eaten up! I've double-checked my spam harvest but didn't find anything.

Actually the photo was full of noise (weak smile) and I kind of photoshopped them out by blurring the less important part of the images... teehee. The photo is taken with my camera positioned at the top of the aquarium - but I will definitely love it if my dSLR allows me to go underwater!

Just added you on Plurk if you don't mind :D you have 20+ karma points now and is still surging ahead! Congratulations!

You're welcome! I hope you and Collin had a great day celebrating your anniversary  thanks for the add! I've just added you as well... sorry for adding you only recently because I had some problem with my Yahoo account! They said that my Yahoo mail has expired and insisted I do some stuff before allowing me to log into Flickr...

The reason why I was able to take the photo is because it wasn't an ordinary aquarium - the fishes are actually placed in a wide but shallow flower pot, full with water. That probably explains why there's a lack of lens glare in the photo :)

One thing I didn't quite like about Plurk is because they have this karma reason which demerits you when you are away from Plurk for more than 24 hours. What if you are on vacation on some remote island, got your modem struck by lightning or etc? Your karma points will fall after 24 hours of inactivity. I have too many accounts on various Web2.0 services - I can handle them now because I'm on a long pre-university vacation. When I'm in university, I'll have to drop half of them because I will not be as free as before.

It's just fascinating that designers and coding professionals are coming up with so much interesting services and ideas! Web2.0 is indeed a hot growing bed for ideas!

When I had Facebook, I spent 6 hours each day playing around with the various applications, scribbling on other people's walls and etc, but eventually I got tired of it - and I use it now to keep in touch with my college buddies, and that's pretty much what Facebook means to me.

Thank you! I actually wanted to call it a cute fish but yea the mouth made me think twice, so I call it a monster instead, heheh!

Flickr is a good online storage for photos, and most importantly it doesn't limit you to the number of photos you can store but instead, on the bandwidth you've used (which is refreshed each month and starts from zero). Although Flickr only let you have access to the latest 200 photos you've uploaded, it's nice that they do not delete your old ones but just hides them discretely in their server. A Pro Flickr account will be a great bargain!

Flickr discourages users from uploading web images (like those used on websites and etc) - which is good because they clutter up their pages and are meaningless.

I could have sworn that I've already left a comment on this entry - maybe I'm wrong? lol.

I love the picture of the fish. In love with your camera, has wonderful quality. However, although I might not have the best camera in the world, I'm still wonderfully joyed to have one that you can take pictures underwater without any accessories.

I'm on Plurk too!! =) It's so fun. hehe. I've got almost 9 karma points now. Go me! lol.

Thanks for the early anniversary wishes! :)

I've added you as a Flickr contact. I have tons of pictures I need to upload! :P That is a great picture of the fish. I can never get good fish pictures.

I've heard of Plurk (actually got invited to it yesterday), but I don't know if I'll join. I hate having too many accounts on sites that I end up forgetting about or not using. I have been a little irritated by Twitter's recent downtime, but it's been working better for me lately. I haven't done much of anything on the internet lately though, so maybe I'll give Plurk a try sometime.

I love Web 2.0 stuff though. It amazes me how much stuff is out there! There are a lot of really cool sites to play around with. I don't use Facebook very often at all, but I do have an account.
