Hello there. I am Terry and I am a full-time undergraduate based in Singapore. I take photos, write a blog and design websites.

And no, I'm not a teddy bear.

Short Hiatus

This blog will be on a short hiatus – well, it’s definitely good news to you all, because I’m using that break away from blogging to design a whole new WordPress theme modified groundup (through CSS) from the original, fabulous and minimalistic WordPress Sandbox Theme. It’s a hard process though – I wanted to preserve some of the current styles in this theme and yet have to full-heartedly embrace the new ones I have in mind. Tough call!

Here’s a list of things you’ll expect to see in the new theme :)

  1. Revamped (revamped, I really mean a 200% redesign) of the blog header
  2. Cool new CSS rollover effects of the main navigation menu
  3. Incorpration of javascript effets from the lightweight and handy Scriptaculous library

The major changes are a few but the smaller ones are more than just a truck-load. I might be posting sneak peeks before I officially use the theme on this blog (I have no plans of releasing it into the public domain since I have heavily modified the layout for personal use – it’s better if you can get the original theme and style it in anyway way you adore  heh).

So stay tuned!

[A rather joyful edit]: The prototype is out but I should keep it away from prying eyes until it’s ready for sneak peeks :) but here’s a piece of good news – it’s compatible with IE6 and above, Mozilla Firefox 1.0 and above and Safari 2.0 and above… woots!

Come back sooooon. I need a constant blogging fix from the people who inspire me! Good luck on your redesigning! I know you can take the new WordPress version and put it to it’s most creative extent. I should do the same, no classes for me tomorrow, that means time to complete assignments, and play around in Photoshop and Flash and Dreamweaver, since I have that option now!

I never know with a new layout whether I should make people anticipate it or whether I should just load it up – which is what I generally do!

Your name is required. Why?

  • So that I can address you personally (which I'm more than happy to do).
  • Everyone loves their name to be called, right? Nobody wants to be referred to as 'a certain someone' or Mr X (X-Men members aside).
  • If your post too much spam, your name will be imprinted on a personalised voodoo doll, completely free of charge. I'm just joking!

Your email is needed. Why?

  • Your email is, and will, never be given out to any third party under any conditions (except for people sneaking up behind me when I'm on WP admin).
  • So that I can contact you personally in case of certain issues that I wish to address personally.
  • If you post too much spam, I'll email the same spam you've posted 10 times back to you, completely free of charge.

You can always leave a personal URL behind

  • It can be anything - most people put their blog URL, their facebook page, their Twitter URL, their MySpace or etc.
  • I give love back by saying NO to no-follow. All of your webbie links are dofollows instead.

Twitter. Twitter. Twitter.

  • What is Twitter?: Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 bytes in length.
  • What is my Twitter ID?: To get a Twitter ID, you simply have to sign up for an account at Twitter.com. Your ID will be in the format of your profile's URL - http://twitter.com/[userid].

Hello Easter Egg hunter! You've discovered the magic of the Konami Code!

Yea. You probably know what the Konami code is before getting to this page. So now what? Here is a randomised YouTube video on my favourites list... which includes Rickroll, if you're luck enough to get it.

You are currently watching Ice Sculpture Fail. Loving it? You can even watch the video in its full screen glory :)
