I am a Vietnamese. I have heard much about Singapore. But when viewing your photos, it is very beautiful and I like parorama, the way to get the whole picture of Singapore. I believe now you become a good photographer. I hope I can visit Singapore in the very near future.

Rei: Thank you so much for your compliment :) and yep I love my new shoes too! Hmmm I think the white shoelaces goes well with the shoe, but since the shoe is slightly offwhite I think a beige coloured shoe lace will look wonderful!

vkeong: Hmmm yeap precisely! Actually I wanted to go to the same spot the day before but it rained... and the sky was so dark! So I went another day. Anyway sometimes taking photos on cloudy days can give your photos an artistic touch, but it all depends on how you shoot it.

IngSiang: Your comments are very details, as always  thanks! Well the similar shot can most probably be explained by the fact that there are actually only a few places around the area where you can have a good shot of the Esplanade... so it won't be surprising that millions of photos out there will be quite identical. Haha! Oh and anyway the pebbles photo is just a random shot, so as the lamp shot thing :)

..: Thank you! I'm glad you like them!

vkeong: For strong backlighting I can recommend you to use flash (if the object is near), or if it is some monument or a huge building I think the only feasible workaround is go there again but at another time another day. Or if you are running out of time you can just take a shot of it, import the photos into photoshop and adjust the lightining using the Shadows / Highlight function.

Hey I wanna ask you, how do you take photos when there's a backlight? I went to Kuching recently and the weather was very good, but some of my photos appear dark cause of the direct sun shine/back light.. tips?

I remember seeing a very, very similar shot as your Esplanade bridge shot as one of the featured/winning shot on M'sia Digital Camera Magazine, very well done. =D

And I like the pebble macro, and also the lamp silhouette. Very unique. =D

awesome pics as always, ted. and i totally love the sneakers. thats so nice of your dad to pay them for you! if you want your sneakers to be more unique, change the shoelaces. i cant stand mine if the laces were white and boring. xp
