Hello there. I am Terry and I am a full-time undergraduate based in Singapore. I take photos, write a blog and design websites.

And no, I'm not a teddy bear.

All About You & Me

1. Grateful & Thankful

Thank you all for your comments in the previous post! Well since my blog doesn't have really high visitor traffic so having that much comments doesn't come easy okay… so I decided to dedicate McFly's song All About You to… YOU all! Haha! It's further down this post. Even if you're just lurking around like a little spy (*clears throat* Ivan… ahem) well at least you cared to read! Eunice recently taught me how to write "thank you" in Japanese! So here it is :)

Thank You in Japanese

I've recently learnt how to be grateful and thankful to people who make my day and make me feel loved and concerned. Thank you all! I realised that I should not continue to take things for granted, and I have to cherish whatever friendship that I have today. That probably explains why I've been writing random letters to some of my friends. You've got a letter because, ah wells, sometimes I find it hard to say things to you face to face (I'm shy!!! Remember?) and yea I can express myself more easily in words sometimes  heh.

Sometimes I write to you because I think you have really good things about you which you yourself might not have even realised! For example, I think Pink* is a really nice person… but looks like not everyone seems to be appreciative. So I decided to write her letter (and she replied me! Haha! Thanks!) to tell her that in fact she's a very great person and she should be really proud of herself!

I remembered the recent General Paper comprehension passage talks about how to stay happy. It talks about writing up a "grateful list" everyday, to be thankful to everything you have now and stay happy in that way. Well I think it works for me because after all that rambling up there (hehe!) I feel happier!

2. All About You

Yes. I'm not over the McFly craze inside me yet  But I think their songs are really really nice! They're sort of calming and sweet, and since they're effectively love songs you can sing them to your boy or girlfriends next time ;)

I was so hooked to McFly's Five Colours in Her Hair that I ignored their other famous hits like Room on the 3rd Floor as well as All About You. All About You is a really great song! Ck recommended it to me when I was asking around who listens to McFly songs. In fact he gave me the version sang by the Nanyang Girl's High band Tainted Friday. Quite nice too! Well that spurred me to ask around my other friends for the original McFly's version.

Here is their MTV! I think it's quite nice! Except for that 1st minute void before the song starts… a little boring.

And here are the lyrics:

It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)
It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you

Yesterday you asked me something I thought you knew
So I told you with a smile, it's all about you
Then you whispered in my ear and you told me too
Said you'd make my life worthwhile, it's all about you

And I would answer all your wishes
If you ask me to
But if you deny me one of your kisses
Don't know what I'd do
So hold me close and say three words like you used to do
Dancing on the kitchen tiles, it's all about you, yeah!

Guitar solo

And I would answer all your wishes
If you ask me to
But if you deny me one of your kisses
Don't know what I'd do
So hold me close and say three words like you used to do
Dancing on the kitchen tiles
Yes you make my life worthwhile
So I told you with a smile
It's all about you

It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)
It's all about you (it's about you)
It's all about you baby (it's all about)

It's a really nice song isn't it?

3. Design

I was so bored yesterday night! So I decided to play with the hue and saturation of the photos. And here is a photo collage of an interesting thing I've done out of boredoom. Well, I seem to be pretty creative lately for some weird reason which, hell, I don't know! But it's better when I get creative all I'll use all that brain energy surplus to brood on old stuff which can be quite depressing.

4. Bonus!

I've left out two photos that are supposed to be included in the previous post! They are the "Morning Sun" photos. Sorry about the screw up! :D Haha! So here you go:

Morning Sun #2

Have a nice day everyone!

Man, I really enjoy/love the way you blog, and formatted your post, it’s so neat and can see that you paid a lot of time into it (IMO, it takes time to put those photos into good shape and etc). =)

I love the way to put up the idea of playing with the hue and saturation of the photo (3), it’s so cool, and it makes simple photo(s) look so great! =)

The “Morning Sun” are great, but the flare (first photo) kind of spoiled it a bit tho. =( Maybe a lil’ bit more adjustment to the curve?

quite really the song. don’t know how to describe it. medley i think? a bit old fashioned, but nevertheless very nice. they both sound nice, though i find the lead vocal’s voice slightly more to my preference.

Hello Easter Egg hunter! You've discovered the magic of the Konami Code!

Yea. You probably know what the Konami code is before getting to this page. So now what? Here is a randomised YouTube video on my favourites list... which includes Rickroll, if you're luck enough to get it.

You are currently watching If Only by KT Tunstall. Loving it? You can even watch the video in its full screen glory :)
